Terms of Service

Last updated: 30 September 2026

1. Scope and provider

These terms of service govern the use of PadelLeague, operated by Richi AI, Owner: Yves-Marcel Richel, Homburger Landstraße 851, 60437 Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Our services include: organization and management of padel tournaments, schedule generation, rankings, and result tracking.

2. AI usage (EU AI Act)

PadelLeague uses AI systems in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (EU AI Act). Areas of use: schedule optimization and tournament recommendations. Risk category: Low risk. AI-generated content is labeled as such. Users have the right to human review. User data is not used to train external AI models.

3. Service description

PadelLeague provides a platform for organising and running padel competitions. This covers the city league, tournaments in various formats (including Americano, Mexicano, Round Robin and Knockout), training sessions and freely arranged Quick Matches, together with schedule generation, result capture, tables, rankings and player profiles. From the counted matches of every format, a skill rating (PadelLeague Rating) is maintained for each user. It takes the strength of the opponents faced into account and is displayed as a division on a scale from Iron IV to Legend. It is computed automatically once a day under the rules published on the division page. The division serves display and seeding; it is not a condition of entry to a tournament or to the city league.

4. Intellectual property

All platform content is protected by copyright. Users retain rights to their submitted content but grant Richi AI a non-exclusive license for display and processing within the platform.

5. User obligations

Users agree to provide accurate information and not to misuse the platform. Sharing access credentials is prohibited.

6. Limitation of liability

Richi AI is fully liable for intent and gross negligence. In cases of slight negligence, liability is limited to the breach of essential contractual obligations (cardinal obligations). Liability for AI-generated content is limited to ensuring technically correct processing.

7. Third-party services

PadelLeague uses the following third-party services: Supabase Inc. (database, authentication, serverless functions), Vercel Inc. (hosting). Data processing agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR are in place with all processors.

8. Applicable law and jurisdiction

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The place of jurisdiction is, to the extent legally permissible, the registered office of the provider.

9. Prices, entry fees and refunds

Using PadelLeague is free in principle: an account, creating tournaments, taking part in them, the PadelLeague Rating and analyses, insights and recommendations about your own game are available at no charge. There is no paid membership. Analyses, insights and recommendations may contain advertising; advertising is labelled as such and does not influence the results shown. A fee may apply to taking part in leagues; it is shown before you join and is payable via Stripe. While a season is marked as beta, taking part is free. Entry fees for events are set by the respective organisers. For events run by third parties the platform does not process payments: you agree and pay any entry fee directly with the organising person; PadelLeague is not involved and accepts no liability for it. Events bookable online are run exclusively by PadelLeague itself; in that case PadelLeague is your contractual partner and seller and is responsible for delivery, invoicing and refunds. Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. Registrations for such events can be cancelled up to 48 hours before the start; entry fees paid are refunded automatically via Stripe. If an event is cancelled, entry fees paid are likewise refunded automatically. PadelLeague reserves the right to introduce further paid features in future; these will be marked as such before use and will require separate consent. Final prices pursuant to § 19 UStG (small business, no VAT shown).

10. Account management

Users can delete their account at any time in the settings. After account deletion, data is removed within 30 days, unless legal retention obligations apply (tax-relevant data: 10 years per § 147 AO, § 257 HGB).

11. City league

11.1 Access and participation fee. The city league is open to all registered users. The participation fee shown on the platform may apply to each season and is payable via Stripe when joining; the place in the league is allocated only once payment is received. While a season is marked as beta, taking part is free for everyone. 11.2 Season and registration. A season covers one calendar month. Registration usually opens 14 days before the month starts and remains possible until the month ends. Anyone who registers after the month has started takes part in their city's running league straight away. 11.3 League. All registrations for a city and month form one league. There is no division by playing strength and no minimum number of participants. There is no entitlement to a season taking place. 11.4 Play. Participants arrange partners, dates and venues on their own responsibility. PadelLeague does not provide courts and is not the organiser of individual matches. There is no limit on how often two participants play with or against each other. 11.5 Results and scoring. A result counts once it has been entered by a participating player and confirmed by that player's partner and by one opponent. Participants who neither confirm nor dispute within 48 hours of entry are deemed to agree. Results can be entered until 24 hours after the month ends; entry is closed after that. A match won counts as a win against each of the two opponents. For the first three wins against the same opponent a participant receives 3, 2 and 1 points, and none for any further win against that opponent. Ties are broken in turn by sets won, set difference, number of counted matches, head-to-head record, each in favour of the higher value, and finally the earlier registration. 11.6 Disputes. Every participating player can dispute a result until the season closes. A disputed result does not count until it is decided. PadelLeague decides only whether the entered result stands or the match is treated as not played; it does not set a different result. Disputes still open when the season closes are treated as not played. 11.7 Close. The season closes 72 hours after the month ends. League placement does not change the division directly. The division follows from the PadelLeague Rating, which is updated from counted matches under the rules published on the division page. 11.8 Recognition. The league winner is shown at the top of the final table. No monetary prize is attached to it. 11.9 Cancellation. PadelLeague may cancel a season for good cause, in particular technical faults or abuse. Results already counted remain and continue to affect the PadelLeague Rating. Affected participants are notified with the reason. Entry fees already paid for the cancelled season are refunded in full. 11.1 Access and participation fee. The city league is open to all registered users. The participation fee shown on the platform may apply to each season and is payable via Stripe when joining; the place in the league is allocated only once payment is received. While a season is marked as beta, taking part is free for everyone.

11. Right of withdrawal

Consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal. The right of withdrawal for digital services expires pursuant to § 356 para. 5 BGB upon commencement of contract performance, provided the consumer has expressly consented. A model withdrawal form per Annex 2 to Art. 246a § 1 para. 2 sentence 1 no. 1 EGBGB will be provided upon request. For leisure and sporting events tied to a specific date there is no 14-day right of withdrawal under § 312g(2) no. 9 BGB; the cancellation periods stated above apply.

12. Changes to terms

Richi AI reserves the right to amend these terms. Significant changes will be communicated to users via email or in-app notification. Users have the right to object to changes within 30 days.

13. Contact

For questions regarding these terms, please contact: info@richi.solutions

15. Richi Padel Partner Network (discontinued)

The Richi Padel Partner Network was an affiliate programme for subscribers to the Partner plan. It was discontinued on 14 September 2026 and is no longer offered; the Partner plan can no longer be purchased, and third parties can no longer take payments from players through the platform. No commission was ever paid out under the programme and no claims remain open. This section is retained because it describes processing that actually took place.
