League

One week to three months in one place, everyone who signed up in one table.

By Yves Richel ·

A PadelLeague league has a location, a span between one week and three months, and someone who runs it. It is played in one of two ways. In Solo there are no fixed match days: you put your own doubles together, arrange time and court and enter the result, and you can join at any time. Points come from opponents you beat, 3, 2 and 1 for the first three wins against the same person. In Classic, fixed pairs play everyone against everyone on a fixture list. At the end the table is final and first place wins the league.

How does the League format work?

01

Register

Registration is open as soon as the league is created. You pay the fee shown when you join; it is set when the league is created.

02

The league starts

On the start date the league begins with everyone who signed up, with no minimum and no split by level. In a Solo league anyone who joins later plays too. A Classic league gets its fixture list at the start.

03

Arrange matches

In Solo you create a league match with a time and a place and invite players or leave seats open. The app suggests matches that bring you points, fit your times and are balanced. In Classic the pairings are already set.

04

Enter the result

One player enters the sets. The result counts once their partner and one opponent have confirmed, or 48 hours after it was entered at the latest. If someone disputes it, the league's organiser decides.

What are the rules of the League format?

  • A league runs between one week and three months. Everyone who signed up plays in one table, with no minimum. In Solo you can join until the last day, in Classic only until the start.
  • In Solo a doubles win is a win against both opponents. Against the same person the first three wins bring 3, 2 and 1 points, every further one none. In Classic a win brings 3 points, a draw 1.
  • On equal points, Solo goes by sets won, set difference, matches played and then head-to-head, Classic by set difference.
  • A match counts once three of the four players have confirmed, otherwise automatically after 48 hours.
  • After the last day there are three days for open results, then the table is final and first place wins the league. Placement itself moves no division: that follows your rating, and the season's matches move it.

When is the League format the right choice?

For anyone who wants to take on many different players over several weeks. Solo suits you if you want to play without fixed dates, Classic if you want fixed pairs and a fixture list.
