Getting Started

From leagues to tournaments to a casual match: this is how PadelLeague works.

How do I get started with my profile?

01

1. Create your profile

Create an account and pick a display name and a username. Then enter your Playtomic level, answer five short questions, or both. That sets your starting step. You add your city and home town later in your profile.

02

2. Rating and division

Your division runs from Iron IV to Legend and displays your PadelLeague Rating. It moves as soon as a game counts: a tournament when it is finished, a league match when it is confirmed, a Quick Match when the other side has confirmed. How far depends on who you played against.

How does a league work?

03

3. Find and join a league

Under Explore you find leagues near you, searched by place and radius. Private leagues are reached through an invite link. Every league has a location, a span between one week and three months, and someone who runs it. Registration is open as soon as the league is created. You pay the fee shown when you join; it is set when the league is created.

04

4. Solo or Classic

A league is played in one of two ways. Solo: you put your own doubles together, and the first three wins against the same person bring 3, 2 and 1 points. You can still join a Solo league after it has started. Classic: fixed pairs play everyone against everyone, one to four times depending on the league. A win brings 3 points, a draw 1. Because the fixture list is fixed at the start, nobody can join afterwards.

05

5. Play and confirm

In a Solo league you create a league match with a time and a place and invite players or leave seats open. The app suggests people who fit. In Classic the pairings are already set. After the match one player enters the result, their partner and one opponent confirm. If nobody reacts, it counts after 48 hours. If someone disputes it, the league's organiser decides.

06

6. Table and end of season

After the last day there are three days to settle open results. Then the table is final and first place wins the league. Your division does not follow the table but your rating, and the season's matches have already moved that.

How do I run a tournament?

07

7. Create a tournament

For a padel night with your group: pick a mode, set date, venue and courts, done. Americano, Mexicano and Move Up/Down are open to everyone, Round Robin, Knockout, King of the Court and Padel Party are still in beta. Creating costs nothing. Your tournaments are private: anyone with the link can see the page, but they do not appear in search. Public tournaments are run by PadelLeague itself.

08

8. Invite players and play

Share the code, link or QR code. Anyone who wants to play signs up with an account. For pair formats you choose whether people sign up only as a pair, as a pair or alone, or only alone, and anyone who comes alone gets a partner drawn. Players without an account you add as guests. You enter results per match, the live ranking updates on its own. Once the tournament is finished it is locked and counts for the rating.

What else can PadelLeague do?

The league is the core, but not everything. For anything between an after-work game and the next tournament, there is this.
