Who it suits
For the counter player
What you want is manoeuvrability in defence: round shape, handle-heavy balance, soft core. The racket stays easy to swing when you are late to the ball and forgives off-centre contact.
More about this player typeWhat the values mean
- Round: The largest sweet spot, forgiving on off-centre contact, but less power on the finish.
- Handle-heavy: Handle-heavy and therefore manoeuvrable. Helps when you are late to the ball or volley a lot.
- Soft: A soft core: comfortable and forgiving, with less direct pace.
What to watch out for
- Round and soft means control rather than power: if you want to end points hard, you will find less of it here.
