Americano is a social padel tournament format. Partners rotate after every round so each player teams up with everyone else. Points are counted individually – the player with the most total points wins. It's the perfect format for club nights, social events, and mixed-level groups.
How does the Americano format work?
Draw random pairs
Players are randomly paired for the first round. Each round features new combinations so everyone gets to play together.
Play a round
Each pair plays one match against another pair. All courts run simultaneously. Scoring can be point pool, first-to-X, or sets.
Rotate partners
After each round, partners change. The schedule ensures every player teams up with as many different partners as possible.
Individual ranking
Points are counted per player, not per pair. After all rounds, the player with the highest total wins.
