The PadelLeague Rating measures your playing strength based on your matches. You see it as a division: 26 levels from Iron IV to Legend. Tournaments, league matches and entered matches count. You see your new level a few seconds after scoring.
Your starting value
After you register, “How well do you play?” asks for your Playtomic level and five short questions, for example how often you play and whether you have played tournaments before. This sets your starting value. If you skip the questions, you start in Bronze II. Self-assessment takes you up to Platinum III at most. Anything above that you earn by playing.
Which matches count
Tournaments count once they are finished, league matches once they are confirmed, and entered matches once the other side confirms. A mutually confirmed single match counts a little less than a tournament or league match, and so does a match with a guest without an account. Declined or cancelled results and the Padel Party are not scored.
How you climb
If you beat a stronger pair, you climb more. What one side wins, the other loses. New players move in big steps at first, and the rating gets more stable with every match. If you do not play for a while, you do not lose points.
The divisions: Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond with four levels each (IV is the lowest, I the highest), with Master and Legend above them. You see your division and history on your player profile, and the best players on the leaderboard.
Frequently asked questions
Can a mistake in the rating be corrected?
A scored result is final. Only PadelLeague can still correct it, and the rating is then recalculated.
Do I lose points if I do not play?
No. Breaks cost no points, the rating just gets a little less certain.
Where do I see the leaderboard?
Via “See the rankings” on the divisions page. You can filter by country, city or radius.
