Which one has more power?
In our assessment, both the Bullpadel Vertex 02 Atletico Madrid and the Head Coello Pro 2026 earn a rating of 5 out of 5 on our power versus control scale, putting both models squarely in the pure power category. Both rackets utilize a high balance point to generate maximum leverage on overhead shots, allowing aggressive left-side players to hit forceful smashes, sharp viboras, and fast attacking bandejas at the net.
The key distinction in shot response comes down to core density and materials. The Head Coello Pro 2026 features Power Foam from the manufacturer, which aligns with our assessment of a soft core hardness. This softer feel produces additional rebound when attacking high balls. In contrast, in our assessment, the Bullpadel Vertex 02 Atletico Madrid has a medium core hardness. This provides a slightly firmer impact feel for players who prefer to drive the ball with higher direct precision rather than relying purely on foam rebound.
Which is easier to play and defend with?
Neither frame is built for easy defensive play or low-effort resetting. In our assessment, both rackets have a small sweet spot, meaning that off-center hits when defending off the back glass or absorbing fast body shots will require precise technical execution.
The Bullpadel Vertex 02 Atletico Madrid is built for pro-level play according to its manufacturer specs, featuring a diamond shape and a weight range of 365 to 375 g with a standard 38 mm thickness. Its high balance makes defensive lobbing and quick wrist adjustments deep in the court more physically demanding. The Head Coello Pro 2026 comes in at a set weight of 370 g and combines a Carbon Hybrid face with Power Foam. In our assessment, its softer core hardness offers slightly more ball output on slow defensive blocks, which can assist intermediate players when under pressure. However, its high balance and small sweet spot still require good arm strength and clean contact to avoid defensive mishits.
