How do their physical specifications compare?
Both rackets share a clear foundation tailored for aggressive play. Each model features a diamond shape, a high balance, a standard 38 mm thickness, and an identical weight range of 365 to 375 grams. These physical characteristics push weight toward the top of the frame, providing natural leverage for high-speed head movement during swing sequences.
Where the manufacturer specifications diverge is in player targeting and face composition. The Ionic Power 2025 is designated for advanced players and features a specialized face developed by Bullpadel that mixes carbon fiber with fiberglass. The Vertex 02 Atletico Madrid is targeted at pro-level players; however, its specific face material and release season are not stated in the official specifications. In our assessment, both frames utilize a medium core hardness paired with a small sweet spot, reinforcing their primary alignment with experienced offensive players.
Which one has more power?
While both rackets excel in offensive scenarios, they sit on slightly different points of our power scale. In our assessment, we rate the Bullpadel Vertex 02 Atletico Madrid at a maximum 5 out of 5 on our power versus control scale (where 1 represents pure control and 5 represents pure power). This makes it a dedicated option for finishing points at the net, punishing high lobs with flat smashes, or driving heavy viboras deep into the opposition court.
In our assessment, the Bullpadel Ionic Power 2025 rates at a 4 out of 5 on the power versus control scale. It provides significant pace for aggressive aerial play, bandejas, and wall-attacks, while remaining slightly less relentless in pure power output than the Vertex 02. Players who want strong power without going to an absolute maximum standard will find the Ionic Power 2025 well-balanced for continuous attacking pressures.
Which is easier to play and defend with?
Neither of these rackets is engineered around easy defense or forgiving maneuverability. Because both frames carry high balance alongside a 365–375 gram weight spread, fast arm movements close to the body in defensive positions require disciplined physical preparation. In our assessment, both models feature a small sweet spot, meaning off-center hits when defending off the glass or blocking fast shots at the net will result in noticeable loss of control.
Defending deep in the court requires sound technique with both models. Players using the Ionic Power 2025 benefit from the carbon and fiberglass mix on the face, which can offer slightly more manageable output during fast wall rebounds. Conversely, the Vertex 02 Atletico Madrid demands absolute precision from a pro-level technique to navigate lower-pace rallies, wall exits, and delicate touch shots without giving up easy court position.
